Deserves repeating: Our three toughest players are all out, and the team isn't done being re-built. The guys that were just fired recognized the need for more grit, which is why they drafted Schneider and Cuylle, who are exactly the kind of player built for a game like this. It's nice to see the rest of the roster have a pulse for a change, but it's not like the team has been ignoring sandpaper. It just isn't here yet.

I understand but you can sign or trade for somebody in the meantime temporarily. You can not wait on the draft for 1-3 seasons.

That's why this posturing crap is such BS. Everybody knows this is the truth. The Rangers posture to safe "face" but apart from cheap shots there's no way to really hurt the Caps, until the Rangers get a psycho of their own who just doesn't give a shit if he brains some poor sod.

You have to think it's related to the press release and/or Wilson fight. Why would it happen NOW and not in less than a week? Why would Quinn still be here if it's all about performance? I don't deny that Dolan hasn't been happy with an underachieving team but if that's his problem Quinn shouldn't be here.

I think Dolan's unhappy with the makeup of the roster. That Quinn has been trying to get the north-south message into the roster is no secret. Still, I want Quinn gone. This is as good a time as any to start clean for next year.
