Post-Game Talk: GAME 53 - Winterpeg 6 BRUINS 2

Yeah to me that seems like guys going solo trying to make things happen on their own, not trusting each other. Especially in Mcavoy’s case.

Don’t think Mcavoy suddenly forgot how to play defense.

Lohrei may be more coaching/development.
mcavoy has always had shit hockey iq

Feels odd as long time fans. Can only imagine what the season ticket holders are thinking.

A roster of mercenaries and a few core players such as Pastrnak.

Well done Sweeney.

Add in whatever Sacco is and the taste is even more unpleasant.
I am not saying the tag should be taken off Sacco, but be honest this team has been a cluster f*** right out camp. I can't say for sure, other than talent what the problem is, but maybe Neely was saying something that we all missed with the Swayman, shit that went down.

Trent Frederic back in his camouflage out there again. I guess he had like 2-3 decent games in a row, time for him to take 9-10 off now.
Always the most invisible Bruin when the team plays poorly. Rather than even a mild attempt to lead or energize the team with a hit or fight, he comfortably counts his $$ and slides into the shadow.

Bruins are in purgatory for the next decade minimum. Terrible roster with several overpaid players, nothing in the pipeline and morons in the FO.

If you think this team has any shot of advancing past the 1st round of the playoffs (if they even make it) then you are on absolute crack. This team can't score, can't defend...I Iook at the roster and I amazed how we got here. It's going to be a looooong rebuild of mediocrity. Buckle up. When they play good teams they get their taints kicked in. It looks like varsity vs JV.

Didn't get to watch this one. Knowing the outcome, I was surprised while watching the highlights to see that we were tied at the beginning of the 3rd. The "Lohrei goal"! Ugh.

You let DeBrusk walk and deal Ullmark.

You let some of the fringe players that performed well or in some cases over performed last year walk away as well.

You bring in Lindholm as your number one center to fill a need, and Zadorov to add some size on the blue line.

With the core you have in place, the argument is you are no worse than wildcard one, and possibly top three in the Atlantic.

So it’s either that the supporting cast is entirely miscast, or something is rotten with the core.

Which one is it?

Or is this all on the coaching? I don’t buy that.

In other words, can you run it back next year with the same core? Do you even have a choice at this point?
How you can have a Core with no top line centre ? Bunch of hogwash using that term with Bruins. The problem is they don't have a core

Is that different than regular crack?

four of my favorite all time Bruins teams

98-99
97-98
07-08
16-17

Sometimes the grind is fun
Ouch..... any team with Stevie Heinz on it still gives me a cold shudder that lingers. Add in a dose of Swoop and I need to be near a bathroom.

I did like characters like Kyle McLaren and young Joe Thornton. Nasty Joe was super fun and unpredictable until he slipped while Lindros was throwing a haymaker. Changed him forever in my book.

Jonathan Girard -- what a sad story.

You don't have something u can call a core if u don't have a top line centre and it sure shows... Rebuild time is here !!!
A core is just a select few players that are locked up and are good enough to build around. Bruins have those in Mcavoy, Swayman and Pasta. Those players are typically top 5-10 in the position groups, seems fair to consider them part of a core.

Now is that core good enough, I’d say no. I’m not tearing down to rebuild though, will take too long to find those pieces again. Retool sure.

Fair enough ,but I have a hard time using word core with this mess.Your not building nothing that can compete in todays NHL without a legit top line centre .I had enough of the Don Sweeney vision.

Regular crack makes you think this team could be close.

Absolute crack makes you think this team could not only get in but maybe win a round.

Shrooms make you think that maybe Lysell and Merkulov are the kind of prospects that will save the day in the near future.

Acid makes you think that Charlie Jacobs can manage the front office, coaching, scouting, and player overhaul that it's going to take to get us back to another long period of regular and post season success.

Fentanyl, although extremely dangerous, juuuuuuuuuuuuuuust might be worth the risk in order to make the next phase of Bruins hockey somewhat tolerable. "Please don't let me overdose, but can I take a quick 3-4 year nap?"

I applaud your ingenuity.

No he hasn’t.

You don’t get to a top 10 defender with shit hockey IQ.
Most overrated #1 D man in the NHL. Elevated beyond his worth by Chara & Bergeron. Should have traded him in '23 when they still had control. Still would trade him to NYR for Schneider, Kreider and NYR '25 #1.

Did you miss the part where he's finished top 5 in Norris voting prior to this season?
