Two thoughts:

1. "Carlos is a standard unit of measurement". In Imperial units, not only am I sure it actually IS one, I bet you that it's also "3 Carlitos to the Carlos" too.

2. "turn any sofa into a sofa bed": Once, a younger male friend of mine just got married, he was in his late 20s, and for a few months, he'd always give me the gears. "Why you and your wife always so snippy? Things are so great with me and mine" and I didn't say nothing, but for months, I kept that spare set of bedding clean in the linen closet. I knew the day would come, and it did, when I'd get that sheepish phone call late at night asking if there's a sofa to crash on.

I mean, even if I had warned him, would he have listened?

hoping and expecting the Jets with a one-sided W here. the Blackhawks are terrible, & coming off a b2b. even the Jets playing their B game should lead to a convincing win here.

As Mort point out later, that's HNIT. South Ontario is where the huge audience is and you can't fault a company for using business sense, even a company you despise.

The wizard's wife usually watches HNIC/SN games with her pods in and enjoys somebody's murder podcast, only removing them for a few minutes when the Jets score. She watches intently, squirming and reacting to a lot of near misses and applauding the goals. During a Calgary game with a particularly odious CBC broadcast team, she removed a ear pod to answer her phone and I heard the sounds of some old Beatles recordings.

We all have our ways of coping with HNIC/HNIT.

Okay if it's time to post our anachronistic crushes, I totally gotta stan for Ann-Margaret. Furthermore, because she had great chemistry with both Oliver Reed and Elvis, I know that being a fat drunk isn't a deal-breaker!

Seeing the Stanley-Schmidt pairing gives me anxiety.

If there's anybody who needs to get back on track it's Stanley. At the start of the year he was in competition with Samberg, and that competition was close. Not very impressive since coming off IR, and someone you probably want to get some games, just to get back in the rythym. I'm happy De Melo gets a rest, he's an older guy that takes a beating out there, and just gets back up and battles. Time for someone else to step up. This is a great opportunity for Dylan Samberg too, he should be on the 1st PK unit now, and have a lot to prove.
