Highlights for sure. It’s basically 55 minutes of us getting shelled otherwise

Not many quality chances for the other team. It was an ugly win. Neither team generated much.

The wings definitely played some 1-2-2 tonight and against Calgary. They’re adopting a system now that helps them win when games would otherwise not be in their favor. And it’s been good at protecting our net and preventing high danger chances.

Aren't we at the point though where we know exactly what Holl is? Why are people shocked when he plays bad? Oddly, I think Gus is one of the most improved players under McLellan. His play as of late has been totally serviceable for a third pair, semi-offensive defensemen.

Because he’s egregiously bad. You could make an hour-long NHL blooper reel of his mistakes. And the worst part is, he’s seemingly getting worse. His collision with his own teammate tonight was one for the ages. He plays like he’s literally blind.

Wings played as if the ice was brutal. Lots of flubbed passes, pucks jumping over sticks, skating in mud.

Lalonde-era style victory. I'll take it, but hopefully they can have some more jump in the next game. Real opportunity to finish strong going into the break now.

Take the DUB but man... Idk if that was a winning formula.

Justin Holl REALLY needs to be replaced bad. Of all the moves to go make or do within the organization, waiving him and bringing anyone else up has to be the easiest one to do.

The wings play them twice in March...should be a fun couple of games

The bolts have two home games against the Sens then play the wings at LCA then the Habs to close out their week before the break, I think that will even them up with games played with the wings...

Does this mean we have to root for Ottawa to win?

Sorry, that's just a bridge too far. I don't think I can do it.

Weeeelll.. Tuomisto is the only real option and idk about that.
That said it would be nice if Yzerman is able to trade for a solid RHD, not just a rental but someone that can be part of the team for a while.

Raymond wasn't doing much of anything tonight, but he came up big at the biggest moment, AGAIN!

Completely stole this one, but good teams steal games all the time. Kick Seattle' ass on Tuesday.
Yeah that's what happens when youre good. The wings finally have some talent that can just turn it on and win a game. In 2009, Detroit looked like they should lose a lot more than people remember, then Dats or Z would do something sick and win the game. Raymond is the first wings superstar since those guys imo
Soderblom has a 5 game point streak.

Good on ya kid.
He creates a lot of his own offence on a line that doesn't do a whole lot offensively otherwise, and even when he's not creating, he's crashing the net and going to the garbage areas where points will come. I don't think he'll sniff the AHL again now.

I think even towards the end for Lalonde, Gus was starting to play a lot better. He was a top 4 D on the presidents trophy team last year so he can obviously play. Get him away from Holl and I think he looks really solid. Holl is so f***ing bad, if they're serious about a push this year, they make a move to get him out of the every day line up.

Nice dirty win (as we say in Germany) fellas, way to go! Crack the Kraken now! LGRW!!!🐙

Lucas Raymond (SWE) collected an assist on Alex DeBrincat’s overtime winner to propel the Red Wings (27-21-5, 59 points) to their sixth straight win as Detroit jumped past Columbus (26-20-7, 59 points), Tampa Bay (27-20-4, 58 points) and Boston (26-22-6, 58 points) into the first Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference. Raymond (20-37—57 in 53 GP) enters the final week before the upcoming best-on-best tournament with the second-most points among all Swedish players this season, trailing only 4 Nations Face-Off teammate Jesper Bratt (16-43—59 in 54 GP).
