GDT: Game #53: KINGS vs. DUCKS - Saturday, 1/25/’14 @ 6:30 pm PST {TV – NBCSN, CBC, RDS2}

Don't worry. We just have to keep up the shot mentality, get pucks on net and they will go in. We also have to keep playing solid defense and keep grinding away. We have to buy into a 200 foot game. Built from the back end out and strong down the middle, that's how you win hockey games. We don't need any one-dimensional players. The Kings just need to be more defensively responsible and good things will happen.

This team is built for the playoffs, so we have nothing to worry about. We just need to score two goals a night and the rest will take care of itself.

One goal... Just one as a thank you to all the Kings fans who came out to cheer this sorry sack team on. That's all I ask if you can't muster enough effort to win.

Wish I could think like this. I don't see how they make the playoffs at this point. Built for the playoffs don't mean jack if you don't make it.

Also, starting on the road as a wild card team isn't exactly where this team needs to be in order to advance again.
 
How does he make a trade?

He either needs to trade one of his beloved "culture changers" like Stoll or Greene to make it work with the cap, or he has to trade Richards or Brown to wake the team up, it's usually not a good idea to be trading guys playing as awful as those two.

I still think the best plan for DL is to just write off this season and do some major evaluations this summer when you will have plenty of cap space.

Dean really needs to stop clinging to the 2012 team, that team is history, this team is stale, time to add some new hungry blood and say goodbye to atleast one key player from that team.

Too bad DL seems like the kind of GMs who only make moves when someone else forces his hand.

Like I said earlier, the Kings only need to go .500 over the rest of their games to comfortably make playoffs. They would have to absolutely and completely collapse to miss. Just don't see it.

Also thought 2nd intermission band was better than KISS? Am I alone? :laugh:
