I very much like Necas and what he brings, but he didn't cause the Avs to put out the biggest shooting gallery of the season today. Or actually make the #1PP start moving their feet, because it didn't in the last two games. That's coaching.

It's not about the collective shots. It's the speed and ease with which that top line gains the zone and stays in control. They've done it in every game since the trade.

I think the top line looks awesome, and Necas has brought a different look to it. He can bring the puck in as well as MacKinnon, that opens up new possibilities.

But my point stands. This team has played different today, and it doesn't have anything to do with Necas specifically. Everyone has elevated their game.
