All of the people complaining about toughness must have been big fans of the McIlrath pick.

McIlrath was a disaster. Fowler and Tarasenko were still available if I recall.

That said, this team has had issues with toughness all season. Even when they had Lemieux. I'm not saying we need a bunch of players like Reaves, Wilson, Lucic, etc but we need a few players who can take the body. We need some players who will drop the gloves to stick up for their teammates.

We have one physical defense man in Trouba, and no physical forwards. Its a bunch of finesse players. Kreider could take the body, he is as strong as they come, but since earlier in his career he hasn't done so.

Bruh, the Islanders are just SOOOOOOO much better than the Rangers. That is why Quinn's teams look like they never played hockey against them. Only the 76 Canadians could beat the Islanders. Don't you dare question the Rangers not showing up in every big game they've had against them. Poor Quinn has no chance and no choice but to get embarrassed by the best team in NHL history.

Blackwell as 13th forward means rooney is the only roster one, our team toughness issues go much farther than rooney as the 4th line center...

I dont mind rooney but im not wasting a spot on him, ill take a similar player with more bite.

Yeah, last time the team overreacted to a goon hurting a star we used a 10th overall draft pick on McIlrath instead of Tarasenko.

If the team on the ice did anything about things they might have drafted Tarasenko. Think of the implications.

Those players don't grow on trees, especially the ones that can pk and are competent at the dot, especially on a team as weak as us for faceoffs
