Shesterkin has been pretty underwhelming down the stretch.

They needed him to be at his best down the stretch and he played some of his worst hockey all season.

Rangers losing to an AHL version of Caps.

Rangers have no response to Tom Wilson because they have no physical presence on the team.

Need to get much tougher in the off season.

Embarassing loss.

I mean to be fair we are down 2 top 4 D with one Top 4 defenseman in the whole lineup, and we have no Kreider

losing like this isn't really a surprise.

Also, I have no issue w rooney back here next year with effective wingers for the role.

I think tonight and vs the isles have shown our bottom 6 needs to be a lot tougher than blackwell and rooney

I don't see a team that's engaged. I don't see a team that is being pushed by a coach to work and be better even if the games are meaningless. The way we finished last year and the year before, we showed heart and commitment. I don't see a shred of it in the last 8 periods.

After the play not just the results form the last 8 periods, I've changed my mind on whether or not Quinn will be let go.

I was saying around game 15 that Miller isn't playing well and I got crucified.

He makes nice rushes once a game and it looks cool seeing a 7'3" player do that. He does absolutely nothing else.

Could end up being good but still very much a project for me and he should have to earn a spot in camp.

Miller is another player who has regressed from when he started. He's basically been drowning for over a month now. So LaFreniere and Kakko need to be sheltered for "development" purposes but apparently it's OK to let Miller get destroyed every game.

It really is wonderful seeing kakko start learning how to effectively play the small space game and use his teammates more. It may take another year even but you can see the player inside coming out
