Forbort aint that young, not in today's NHL. He should, at age 24, with two years of pro experience be able to beat out journeyman McBain and completely done Ehrhoff for a spot.

The Kings really need to just trade something for a veteran third pairing guy that isn't a complete liability, that would be an improvement over the three guys who have been out there this season. We are like the Hawks in last years playoffs where you close your eyes every time the third pairing is out there.

In defense of Clifford, what does he bring if he isn't willing to occasionally fight?

The guy hasn't scored a goal in over a half seasons worth of games, he is basically an offensive blackhole at this point.

Has to do something to make his presence felt.

He's a better possession player than both Andreoff and Nolan. But besides that, it's really for his own health. The man has suffered several concussions and just got back into the lineup. No need to engage in a pointless scrap.

24 is still young for a d-man and I'm speaking relatively anyway. I don't see even limited action Forbort as necessarily worse than either of those two at this point.
