Random complaint, but I just noticed Ribeiro went 0/10 in faceoffs against Edmonton, and he's 1/6 tonight. :help:

From what I've seen, Ribeiro's been terrible tonight. He looks like he's given up.

Ok, so for the third period let's not let them get any shots and hope we can put 2 home.

Hell, might as well just play with 6 skaters, probably easier to contain shots that way

OEL with 24:08 of ice time already, closest player to him is Kesler at 16:21

Smith and Vermette should switch salaries this season. That's what I think right now.

Only a 250K difference this season, Smitty needs to throw in some of his free Papa Johns as well.

People are high or in denial if they think Smith hasn't been a major issue this season. None of this "well, he is facing a lot of shots" crap. He isn't even stopping the easy ones.

4-2 as I type this.

Not sure what happened to him this season.

Maybe with Tippett in his back pocket, along with the fact that he go selected to Sochi, has made him into one of the most bloated and complacent performers in the league.

Sounds about right. There is Couturier that might give him a run for his money, but other than that, he is it.

I think that the only thing Couturier really has going for him at this point is him being the top penalty killing forward in the NHL. But he's really limited in terms of his offensive production. I'd rather have Vermette NOW, but ask me again in three years, and I'll probably be on the other side of the fence.

Both would look great in Canucks jerseys. :yo:

Oh yeah, I forgot the contract didn't really kick in hard until next season. I guess Smith decided t make his level play coincide with actual dollars???

4 goals on 14 shots. Awesome.

How can anyone defend this number?? When you've kept the Canucks down to 14 shots over 2 periods your defense is not the problem.

Don't get me wrong I wont defend Smith for this game, but regardless I'm not happy with the chances our defense has been giving up tonight by any means. I think both he and the defense have been quite poor tonight.
