Used to be the Bruins radio guy, so we were naturally quite worried this past offseason he might head back to Boston and take over from Jack Edwards. we thank the old gods and the new gods that didn't happen.Did your PBP guy call games somewhere else before Vegas? He’s great.
This team needs a boot in the ass, and some depth, I know they've already set new career highs but it's not surprising once Kolesar and Howden stopped scoring we stopped winning, we are getting nothing from our bottom 6. Our defense and goaltending also haven't been where they need to be.Great final sequence for Petro. Trying to go around someone while fumbling the puck which will lead to a breakaway if you lose the puck and doing a fly by on the net on the backcheck leaving it wide open for the third man back to put it in the empty net. Hardly generated anything dangerous on offense against one of the worst defensive teams in the league.
Pathetic.
Our defense will be fine. Our real problem, which you note, is the lack of scoring. We just have really only Eichel, Hertl, Dorofeyev and maybe Stone who are natural scorers. Howden forechecks but what good is it since his wingers couldn't score into an empty net. Olofsson is meh. Roy and Koleslaw are big bodies but they do everything too slow (if Roy would be more instinctual and not overthink he'd score a lot more). Barbashev has 2 assists since he came off IR. More scoring = less pressure on the goalie and more puck possession. This team needs a boot in the ass, and some depth, I know they've already set new career highs but it's not surprising once Kolesar and Howden stopped scoring we stopped winning, we are getting nothing from our bottom 6.
