Dach and Laine are obviously pissed at the refs. Dach jumped on a guy's back and Laine tripped a guy just to see what the ref would do.
The only entertainment left in the game is to see if the Habs get a pp or not.

...not funny, amigo...seriously not funny...

What we see is what was expected. The team is not ready. It was never meant to be. Again people got caught evaluating a team during a good sequence instead of looking at the big picture. The team is where it was supposed to be. Not bottom 5 anymore. In the mix for a good part of the year. But ultimately not experienced and good enough to make it and should draft anywhere in between 8th and 15th. And the plan should still be to sell despite what everyone think. Those vets are not good enough when they are not being carrier by Hutson, Suzuki, Caufield, Montembeault, Guhle, .... all those vets are easily replaceable even Evans i like him but he's a 3rd line player you can find one without too much trouble it should not be a priority atm.
Agreed 100%

After three (soon to be four) seasons out of the playoffs all UFAs should be for sale. No recency bias, four seasons of what they are should be enough.

Recency bias is what the other GMs should be given though...

I dont see the point in overpaying for Evans. He's a 4th line c having career year at 28. By the time we are ready to contend one of Hage/Beck or Kapanen will be a better option than him.

Mix it up on the bottom 3 lines

Laine-Evans-Armia
Anderson-Dach-Gallagher
RHP-Dvorak-Newhook

Try something....anything....pls.

I agree with you, but the dominant 15 games is still a huge positive even for a tanker like myself, at least for Caufield Nick Hutson Dobes Monty Slaf Ghule and somewhat Laine , everybody else is kind of a wildcard and will be replaced when we become a good team AKA we can survive and deal with Dach and Newhook never becoming great lol
Yes it is. I'm not arguing this is not a positive year quite the contrary. It is a positive year. But those 15 game should not change the plan. At the beginning of the year the plan was to sell the UFAs and the plan should not have changed. Let's say you trade Evans for a 1st, Savard for a 2nd and Armia for a 3rd. Maybe we have to add 4th round picks to those players to make it work (we have four 4th round picks in the next two drafts). Then we have three 1st, three 2nd and four 3rd at the next draft. Is it too many picks? yes. But you can use those as leverage in a trade during the draft. Either to draft higher in the 1st or if a big name in his 20ies becomes available then you instantly becomes a serious contender to acquire him.
