Anybody who needs to say that they're always right and refuses to admit that they're wrong to help their own credibility generally has no clue what they're talking about. Masses believe the person that says the wrong thing confidently more often than the person that says the right thing hesitantly. That's been shown over and over again despite the fact that there should be an amount of uncertainty in everything. If you say you know anything 100% I assume you're full of shit.

Heavily disagree.
I dont want to get into a huge debate about Don but I will say I was fortunate to spend a significant amount of time with him and he's not the man you see on CBC.

He had strong opinions and some of them were old school and would be considered not politically correct but his opinions were not from hate IMHO just ignorance and the time he was brought up.

His persona was largely made for tv.

Fair enough, as I assume most TV personas are. I'd be happy to hear that he wasn't the figure that he was made out to be. I'll move away from saying he was clueless and say that his TV persona was made to be clueless.
