GDT: Game #51 - Red Wings @ Oilers - 7PM - Swedish? Hold my beer

Skinner 0/2 lol

Had no confidence in a shootout

When does Gibson get here?
This game wasn’t on Stu. McDavid was absolute shit and generated nothing tonight. Knob gets some blame here- puts yoir second best offensive player with Brown and Hopkins. Hopkins producing at centre and his line playing well- knob decides to throw that in the garbage

What Detroit just shot on.

I think you have to submit your first 3 shooters in order at the beginning of the shootout, don't you?
Not sure. But don't put your best player last when your shooting first.

Idk, maybe the stats say Nuge/Davo are better. But drai has been the best player in the league this year, and had a goal and a post this game whereas the other 2 looked like shit.

I would of had Drai shoot first or second.

Oilers have terrible finishers on the wing. We are so close to the deadline and no left winger in our top 9 has over 10 goals.

I was happy with Klingberg's game. He had rust for sure but settled in more as the game went on. I'm just so happy his speed and mobility are back

Honestly, the only forward that is consistently scoring goals is Leon. The rest need to be better

There have been a couple of glaring omissions for opportunity on 97's wing. Skinner is pretty obvious, but the other one is Henrique. He got a sniff after the trade and they had really good chemistry. Didn't see it again after he came back from his injury last year.

The coach might consider trying one of the other forwards on his wing, like Henrique or Skinner, for example. Not sure why he's so reluctant to do so.
Knob is very fixed in his line combos. It's either McDavid/Draisaitl together or McDavid with RNH/Hyman and Draisaitl with Snowpants and Stonehands. No creativity whatsoever. What about trying Henrique or Skinner in the top 6?

Yup, not sure why those two have to be stuck in the bottom 6. Leon is the team’s MVP and he gets nothing to work with.

I don’t agree with this. Skinner, Hyman, Arvy are proven scorers. Throw in Henrique who seems a lock for 20 every year. The plays are just misallocated. You have Podz on the second line with Draisaitl. You have Skinner on the 4th line (sometimes third), Hopkins, who is actually impacting McDavid’s production stapled to his wing.

Run Henrique with Draisaitl and Arvy
Run McDavid with Skinner and Hyman
