Panarin has looked like shit compared to last season, don't care how many points he's on pace for. Not blaming him for tonight, but he hasn't been the same player.
Our top6 never looked this uninterested last season. There was never a lack of urgency

It's a common occurrence this season

And that's not out of the realm of possibility.

Coming into this season, committing to Zibanejad was a major topic of concern. Other guys were seen as potentially be moved rather than being locked in long term.

All those conversations are very much still on the table.
Well except Kreider who we are locked into for another three years at least.

Didn’t take long to regret that

Yes it is. Look it up, they constantly claim that teams should pull the goalie with like 10 mins left in the game and that they should always pull the goalie way earlier including in PP’s like that when there’s tons of time remaining.
This is entirely different than what you originally said.

And FWIW pulling the goalie early is good.

With that contract, he's not moving anywhere, so you might as well try to build a greasier team around him. Buch actually shows some grit, but like you said, this vet core, as a whole, is up for debate.

The problem with Buch though, he is kinda of a moron.

He is not as good as he thinks he is.

You gotta be f***ing kidding me. Do you have eyes or is this the first game you've watched this season? The way the Isles play doesnt give him any room, but the guy is basically a multi point lock on most nights.
Your best players have to find ways to score.

The State of Goalie Pulling in the NHL

"Among games with a one-goal deficit, the success rate has been around 15 percent for the past few seasons. Successful outcomes when the trailing team is down by two goals are more rare: about one percent overall, or 25 total times over these seven seasons. There have been no successful outcomes when the pulling team was down by three goals. "

Still can't find how many goals scored against teams that pull goalies vs how many they score. I imagine that the number must be around 15 or even 20 to 1.

I just don't know what else they are going to do. They are not going to get top of the line youth for Strome or Zbad, so if they are going to change up the team they are going to have to move out youth.
All I’m saying is that we’ve been stockpiling assets for years now. Some of those assets are gonna get spent to bring players in here. And none of the ones traded are gonna be guys we took 1st or 2nd overall.

He's had plenty of playoff stinkers. I mean A LOT. He had a stinker in game 5 against Montreal in 2014. Plus Hank in his prime didn't have Quinn as a coach who is a definition of a loser coach.

I am not talking about stinkers. Every goalie under the sun have stinkers. You said he was terrible against the Habs which is not true. He struggled in Bell Centre during regular season but in the playoofs he owned them.

The consensus coming into this year is that playoffs will be really hard if not impossible. Next year is going to be true rude awakening. Fireworks in here!
