GDT: Game #51 - New York Rangers vs Vancouver Canucks - 8pm EST, MSG

I have no issue with them playing Blais and Cuylle for a stretch here to see if they can be part of the 4th line solution, and Leshitshow is only playing because he is a center. We know what Gauthier is, and outside of a hot stretch in November he has been more of the same. I think he's become likeliest roster player to be moved at the deadline.

You just described every 4th liner ever.Who else on our club has shown more in a 4th line role over Gauthier?

Idk what to tell ya but the Rangers arent enamored with him. My personal opinion is that he does a good job using his speed in transition but he doesn't use his size or skating enough on the defensive zone or cycling on offense. There's also the possibility that he is still affected by the back to back hits to the head he took a few weeks back.

My issue with Gauthier is that outside of breakways he is pretty invisible. He doesn't penalty kill, he's not great defensively, doesn't hit, can't play up the lineup.

I think other 4th liners are more valuable.

I've never been a huge fan of Gauthier. I only started to change my mind this season. He needs be more consistent. But its just an awful decision to bench him for 3 worse players. Blais provides nothing. The occasional hit. Thats it. Even Reaves scored more than him with the NYR. Cuyle isnt ready. Lesh is just awful. He shouldnt even be on the team. They all combine for a grand total of 0 goals. Gauthier creates a nice scoring opportunity every game and draws plenty of penalties. He hits, draws penalties, creates some opportunities, and can skate. I wont bash on giving Cuyle an opportunity, but the others...Just GG doing GG things.

In 35 games he has 66 hits (9th). If he played every game he'd be top 5-6 in the team in hits. I agree he can be invisible for stretches and should be sat now and then. But the guys he's sitting for now are some of the worst in the league.

The 2 things we need more of in the lineup,speed and transition play,are his 2 best qualities...but we can't find a spot for him because of Blais? Its comical.He's great at drawing penalties in is role too because of his size and speed

Blais drew a penalty in 8 nondescript minutes last game, the only difference between him and Gauthier would be a breakaway chance missed. I like the Gaut and think there's something there but he'd be much better off on a rebuilder who could give him top 9 minutes. The Rangers are trying to rehab Blais on the fly and it would be foolish to take him out of the lineup after he has actually shown some signs of effectiveness. Neither guy will be the difference between a win or a loss.

I received the 4 game plan for a Christmas present and the first game was the Dallas game last month and then Monday's game with Calgary and the last two are Carolina and Buffalo in March and April, like your plan. Can't beat the first two games of the plan I have so far...

I chose this plan because it was during the week, easier for me to get to the games, and because it had a Ducks game in it, go figure. Lol.

I had/have a Devils, Boston, Carolina, and Minnesota , game in this plan, and was the 2nd least expensive, Not too bad.
