laf was the best player on the rangers that period...he was all over the puck and created something almost every shift.

solid period otherwise. tampa came to play, kucherov is a problem. pretty even period overall, though need to clean it up in the middle of the ice in the d zone. some great desperation plays saved the rangers on a couple plays that you don't want to rely on all night and quick was very solid when he needed to be. offensively all the lines that don't have panarin/laf on them need to start contributing something. even when they get in the zone they're just out there doing cardio. none of those lines are forcing tampa to open up with shots/rebounds and they certainly aren't a threat to snap it around and find a backdoor play in so i'm not sure if they even know that the idea is to get the puck into the other teams net.
