I think Kopitar prefers to play the way he does. Coaches get too much credit and blame for what players do.

I don't think Terry Murray had that big an impact on how Kopitar plays.

Kopitar was aware he had to bring something else to the game besides scoring.
So he worked on that part of his game to his own detrement. He had been playing this way for so long now , he simply prefers it.

You're right. He prefers to play the system that has been drilled in his head. He epitomizes what has been so successful for the Kings. You get caught up in his offense. He is probably the best defensive center in hockey. As his defense went up, his offense went down. That's not to say he has not played great offense. Even with his defense he would be a PPG player on any other team in hockey. In regards to his offense, he has also been hampered by failed conversions on his passing. He is on another level in in his ability to get his passes through under heavy pressure. He is the best overall center in hockey. There simply isn't anyone who does what he does.

On the plus side Vey and Pearson are looking pretty good. Don't know why they weren't with the team sooner.

The Kings window to win is only going to be open for so long. For a season like this one to look like it is becoming a wasted season is unacceptable.

He really isn't , Toews is just as good if not better than Kopitar at both ends of the ice.

Getzlaf is world class at offense , and his defense is just below Kopitars.

Message to Jones: When you're a backup and your coach is Sutter, IT IS SUGGESTED that you don't crap the bed or else you won't see another game!

Not sure why all these defensive break downs keep happening. It's not like this team to look this bad with all their mistakes tonight.

Kings 2014 hockey motto. Slow and Low scores. Their theme song is Slow Ride.

I've never seen a team go from top-2 to a complete joke in a month like this...and their coach and GM just sit on their hands.

This is just not a championship caliber team.

Anyone who thinks they are is either in denial, a homer or both.

I think next year with the cap up they can add the pieces needed to get back to that level, but right now they have one consistent offensive player.

The cap going down really hurt the Kings. But Lombard wasting 6 million on RR and Stoll did not help.

Pearson looks like garbage.....he needs another year in the AHL.

Think you're setting the sights a little high for a rookie. Put him on the first line he did well. Wasn't a liability defensively. Put him with Vey, someone he's used to playing and his game picks up.

Some people see that as advantage i see it as crippling...
we have the best defensive center
we have the best defensive winger
we have the best defensive defense man
we have the best goalie.

I am aware that entertainment isn't everything in hockey but this
is going nowhere.
The staff isn't even trying offense anymore. For the case something unexpected happens they switch into something even more defensive.

Can't wait for "we did the little things right" after the game
and "can't win them all" in the forums
