That's what I thought as well. Habs guy was clearly in the zone before the puck. I don't get it.

Guys doing the game on the Habs English feed said Smith didn't touch the puck until Eller(or whoever was offside) was onside.

But did Smith go in the zone before Eller was out of the zone or did he wait long enough?

That offsides challenge sucks. First its hard to tell even on replay obviously. Secondly the offsides had nothing to do with the goal.

The puck wasn't touched by the MTL forward until the offside guy had cleared.

Looked offside, but no touch. Good goal

Yeah, they need to get rid of it for offsides calls, especially if they're not even reversing good calls in the first place. And these linesmen, have they always been as awful as they have this year? Is that why we have the challenge this year in the first place?

Click on the goal feed. Pause it at 2:29. That's offsides.

I thought I knew what offsides was....correct me if I'm wrong! guy's in the zone....puck leaves zone...puck re-enters zone...guy is still in the zone...how is that not offside??

He tagged up before any other Montreal players entered the zone, thus it was onside.
