A little scary that we needed a shootout to beat calgary and beat edmonton 2-1 and luongo had to make some huge saves and get some post help..... A win is a win i guess

There's a reason why Kesler played so many minutes tonight - we're hurting pretty badly down the middle (heck, even one of the bubble players - Schroeder is still out).

Elaborate please!

Price whining against about our lack of scoring, OVER and OVER, rick ball basically called him out on it, said we scored 12 goals in 3 games against the oilers, that's 4 goals a game.

Price kept on repeating himself about 5 times, ball kept on shutting him up.

This is an average team, who's main goal this season should be to just make the playoffs this season.

It also doesn't help missing 2 of the teams top 3 centers.

Considering we are basically rolling 2 centers, happy with the win.

The team is incredibly snake bitten. Daniel spots Burrs and Kesler a couple of times and bleh.

Agreed. Playing 2 AHL teams we barely beat both.... Actually we could have easily lost both.

Could've easily won two of the three previous losses as well (and those were against teams that are fighting for a playoff spot like us). These things tend to even out over the course of a season.

Burrows must be so ****ing frustrated, must've had 50 chances this year and hasn't been able to get ONE goal.

I Live in Oil Country and I'm proud to say every Oiler fan is extra angry tonight that Kassian got the game winning goal

IF AND WHEN BURROWS SCORES HIS FIRST GOAL, he should break his stick ala the lsoing streak against carolina a few years ago.

Well Schroeder should be ready for Nashville and if not hopefully Phoenix.

Luongo robbed of a shutout. Although to be fair he did have his fair share of posts.

there was some posts but Lou wasn't giving them much to shoot at.. He looked very very good. He is Canada's number 1 goalie at the moment.

Best .gif ever.

And at this point, a win's a win's a win. Big game from Lu, awesome continued debut from Lain, good game from Kassian, the Edler/Bieksa pairing continues to be a trainwreck, Garrison continues looking shaky, and Edmonton continues to plumb new depths of craptasticness.

Daniel/Burr: my God. It's like the puck and their sticks are all positively charged electromagnets. Remember how dominant Henrik became when he was forced to play without Daniel? Uh...not seeing the reverse happening yet. Burr's still carrying live cobras in his pockets so he can be snakebitten during tv timeouts, just in case his luck momentarily changed and we didn't notice.

Lain. My man. Canuck man-crush of the moment. 6'6", a goal, fight, NHL record and an ejection in less than a minute's worth of ice time. Gentlemen, our savior has arrived. :sarcasm: (maybe)

Edmonton sucks ass. Loving the Go Canucks Go chant and Free Torts signs in the crowd.

Well, we made it through a game without causing the NHL to wet its collective trousers. Progress?

#FreeTorts.

We won, be happy ya'll, points count in the standings

While that is true, how the team is performing is quite a bit more important than squeaking out wins. We have factors playing into our subpar play but all teams do. We need to be better and can be better.

Luongo is sooooooooo much better than Lack.

Thrilled to have him back.

No Need to word it like that. We have two great goalies. I have never been more confident in Lou then I am now. Lack has been very impressive in his short NHL career. Goalie graveyard no more!
