I’m not worried. He’s played plenty of wing before in his career, including a few times Bednar put him alongside MacKinnon last season.

Great to see MacDonald drawing back in.

The Avs are really lacking puck movement beyond Makar and Toews on the backend right now.

They could definitely use some better transition play from some of their defenseman. The turnovers from Graves, Nemeth, and Timmins might have been their biggest problem lately.

Graves might also be the worst pinching defenseman in the NHL. Seems like 80% of his pinches end up in odd man rushes the other way.

Thats because he thinks hes the offensive catalyst of that d core. If Makar had a trusted vet like say... Chris Tanev ...last season Makar would have won the calder by a far greater margin.
