Kadri should be glad he's still being given the opportunity on the 2nd line. Hopefully playing with Newhook will give him the chance to score at least once or twice. If so, that should really help get that monkey off of his back.

Newhook at C with Kadri on his wing also says a lot about what the Avs think about Jost remaining at C. I also really like that the Nuke-Jost-Donskoi line is reunited. They were really killing it before Donskoi got on the injured list.

That’s a very high-skilled group and if it clicks could finally give the Avs a legit scoring option behind the top line.

Nuke - Jost - Dong

Not that high powered of a line but this group can drive possession, be responsible defensively, and chip in on the offence.

Not sure if I like Kadri at wing. I may be misremembering but didn't Bednar try Kadri at wing last season? Maybe with MacKinnon being the centre? I could be wrong but I feel like I remember that happening and having it be a massive failure.

I like Kadri on wing with Newhook to start. Kadri can play more of a center role in the defensive zone and help Newhook in that area.
