GDT: Game 50: Red Wings vs kings 7:00 pm et 1/27/25

Nice to see Shine get 9:50 of ice time and not sub-6 minutes like some first lifetime AHLers gave gotten in their cup of coffee. I had to leave halfway through the 1st - I presume he played well enough on that 4th line?
He was playing it safe for the most part but in the 3rd he absolutely blew someone up with a nasty hit the likes of which we rarely see from our regulars.

He was steady (conservative) and certainly not a liability out there, had a few good hits (one big one) and a few steals, made a couple of pinch covers, showed some pace to his game, seemed to be the perfect call up to me.

I thought it was him, but I wasn't sure.

Raymond is top 15 in points in the league
Seider is top 16 among defencemen ( had he got the credit for the goal he scored last night he would be top 15)
Kasper top 10 among rookies
Aaaaaaaand Johannes is top 10 among rookie defencemen
And Talbot is one of our best players.
Mickey Redmond makes it all great fun.

Gorgeous plays by Kasper on both the goal and assist (ENG was nice too). He’s showing all the things he was drafted for. Solid as can be in all areas, gritty, but underrated skill. He’s bouncing off of Larks and Ray with ease, not slowing them down in footspeed or hockey sense whatsoever.

Raymond in turn has figured ’it’ out, whatever ’it’ is. The game has clearly slowed down for him and he’s seeing things others aren’t. Superstar stuff.

Gotta say, how huge is it that Kasper, Edvinsson, Soderblom, and Johansson all played together last year in GR (and Shine too!) and are now finding roles in the lineup and even chemistry with one another again

Let's get Mazur and Cossa to relive a taste of this once again

If we get gain 5 points out of 4 games I would call a great trip.

I’m not liking that it’ll be 3 games in 4 nights.
Jan 30 edmonton
Feb 2 Calgary
Feb 3 Vancouver

I’m expecting Calgary to be the toughest of the trio because Dustin Wolf has been realgud. If we can go 1-1-1 and get 3 points then it’ll be an acceptable trip. (I’m going to the Canucks game, so hopefully they win that)
