I'd rather see him pass up those shots and look for that pass, that tells me he's seeing the ice well. Better than forcing a low danger shot to the net.

It was his bread and butter in juniors, making passes from a shooting stance, freezing goalies and finding openings in the slot. It doesn't connect as often in the NHL but it never connects if he doesn't try it, and when he tries it, he's actually really good at it.

He was angled off and had the goalie right there. Passing the puck was the right call as it could have connected, hit a skate and bounced in, etc. Throwing that puck on net would have had zero chance of going in.

I disagree.Calgarys goal was by throwing the puck on net from a bad angle and it eventually went in off some bounces

Vesey and Goodrow should be on the 4th line. Because they are excellent in that role to eventually be moved up late in games to protect leads. Soon we will see that and it cannot be soon enough

I'm leaning towards the Rangers getting 2 bottom six players over 1 top six player. Salary cap reasons why a top 6 player is a tough call
