Zacha line outshot OTT 18-8. That's a nice bounce back from getting trounced by NJ.

Coyle line outshot OTT 8-5. Not as good as their 15-5 edge vs NJ but another game where they are on the plus side of the shot attempt differential, and the one game they were outshot (SJ) is the game Coyle had 2 goals.

Peeke with 20:56 in ice time. I know it's out of necessity but he's really stepped up.

Geekie had a goal, 5 hits, 1 takeaway, 1 shot block, +2, and was 2 for 2 at the dot.

Lohrei had 5 blocked shots and buried a Senator against the wall. Would love to see him add a bit more of that to his defensive game.

Korpisalo was outstanding. His third shutout brings his record to 9-4-2.

Playing the neutral ice "Von Trapp":sarcasm: is what this team needs to do to be competitive. That was a game where to opponent seemed to make more turnovers than us for a change. The PK looked much better.
I will say this, they got lucky on the called back goal. That would have crushed them as is has all season long.
Buuuuuuuuut, it didn't count and that was one of the better, more playoff like performances of the year.

Good win, tight defensively. I hope to see Callahan again instead of Oesterle.

Such a different team at home vs on the road.

On what basis? 5v5, Oesterle has some of the best numbers on the team amongst the defenders. Best plus/minus, 3rd most shots blocked per 60 mins, 2nd best on ice corsi percentage, 2nd best expected goals for percentage. Nothing against Callahan, but Oesterle's been very tidy, relatively speaking at least, throughout his 20 games so far.

Don't see him pushing his way into the best 6 when everyone's fit, but to me he's first man up as the designated 7D at present.

I too, just from the eye-test barometer, like Oesterle's positioning and command and say it ad nauseum.

I'd say apart from Pasta and maybe a few others, Lohrei just sees the rink and teamates differently, like chess pieces. In the years to come, he and Hampus are going to drive a lot of scoring.

Ladyfan sees it widescreen and I often miss it, but what a blue collar, lunchpale effort from Brad last night on a back-to-back with a bit of travel. I'd say our "C" quietly demonstrated pride and effort can overcome youth.

Who would have predicted this one?

Just had a good feeling on that one!

For perspective, the 2018 - 2019 Cup Champion Blues were: 23 - 23 - 5 right around this point that season.

The Bruins are 24 - 20 - 6

I’d like to see how they look with Hampus Lindholm and McAvoy hopefully playing better this time around . No , they aren’t a contender but so what ? I’m not convinced that the Leafs and the Lightning are that good and am hoping one of the wildcard teams can knock them off .
