Yes we did, the Toilet Bowl - because our play smells like it.Did we win the Cup tonight?

A Bowl sounds bigger than a Cup, so I'll take it.Yes we did, the Toilet Bowl - because our play smells like it.
Draft drops off significantly after 9 or 10. If 10-15, trade back and get some picks back. And it’s getting close to the time to start selling off those UFAs and a guys like Saad. Calgary beats Minny tonight and playoff chances slipping further away.Wouldn't complain but 8-10 sounds about right for Logan Hensler.
Sir, I can not argue with that brand of logic.A Bowl sounds bigger than a Cup, so I'll take it.
It’s one of those games where the puck doesn’t go in but they started extremely slow again.
If Faulk is going to play it needs to be on the 3rd pairing. Get Broberg back on the left side. Playing him on the right side is like Buch playing C but not quite as bad. Call up Kessel if needed and let him play 2nd pairing. I would probably prefer Tucker vs Suter so:
Fowler Parayko
Broberg Kessel
Tucker Faulk
Faulk should be banned from the PP forever.
The only D on the top PP should be Broberg.
I don’t even really care if they lose every game, just get the kids as much playing time as possible.
I thought Bolduc had a good game except the giveaway late in the 3rd. He didn’t do anything to get benched and then gets promoted to the 1st line.
Not impressed with Monty.
And our lines are predictable. Not much flexibility. Only a few players who can play up and down the lineup. The 4th line is set in stone and is predictable. I'm afraid game panning against the Blues right now is easy.To be fair, the Blues have one of the worst forward groups in the league. If our best 4 players are Thomas, Buch, Kyrou, and Holloway, then you better have a damn good bottom 6, and we don't. Our forward prospects are on the way though.
Yes. It sucks now but in the long run I keep saying this year this will be viewed as a foundational year for better things down the road. We brought in some legit pieces to the puzzle and this offseason will be another yr of removing dead weight (Saad, etc). I’m bullish they’ll legitimately compete for a playoff spot next yr. Unless something unexpected comes up Armstrong should exercise patience at the trade deadline and just move out some vet pieces if they have any value to recoup some picks. We need to kind of just ride out the last 30 games. To be fair, the Blues have one of the worst forward groups in the league. right and the rookies always burn us..Backup goalies and rookie goalies are our kryptonite.

I think so too. This team isn't going to make the playoffs the way it is structured right now. So, I hope at least a few prospects will be ready to play in The NHL now, and play some games without hurting their development, but rather giving them valuable experience to accelerate, rather than delay, their progress, and maybe even help the big team win some games (as a bonus). They seem to be petering out over the last few games and off and on this season too. There are sparks and good things and even wins but this team doesn't look focused one bit and have been sloppy.
I'm not a fan of the concept of faith, but folks like Bolduc should be rolling on a quality line, even if Buch, who should be benched, is on it. If we got other kids downstairs that we can call up here and there, we should at least be exploring that.

I’m just fully expecting us to go on a late season run when it doesn’t matter just like last year lolwell we are currently tied for 10th with Utah. Hopefully we can win the lottery
hes been like the rest of the team, average at bestBinnington’s numbers/rankings this season:View attachment 967393
This is the time of year we really need to be losing for the tank. We lose enough now over the next 20 games to secure a top 10 pick. Then we can bring up Dvorsky and Snuggy can sign late season and we can win some games down the stretch and parlay that into next season.I’m just fully expecting us to go on a late season run when it doesn’t matter just like last year lol

Its been tank time since game 1. This team is too flawed. They've done an ok job of bandaging some of those flaws with Fowler, but it just served to keep people's hopes up. We cannot win 3 games in a row. We win 2, come close to a playoff spot ignoring the games in hand, and people think its a playoff team. Then they lose, look bad, and everyone yo-yos to despair.
10-11-2 under Montgomery after new coach bump wore off. .478-win percentage. 78 points for a full season at that pace. No major injuries during that time, added a top pair D. That is who this team is right now. There are no excuses. Expecting us to make the playoffs when we can't win 3 in a row is silly.
Even if Colorado and Calgary dropped to .500 hockey from here on out, and nobody else passed them, we'd need to win at a .625 rate to tie them at 90 points. There are only 6 teams in the league playing at that pace.
Other than the comment about tanking since game 1, you made some excellent points. Their inability to go on any kind of winning streak this season has been most telling to me.Its been tank time since game 1. This team is too flawed. THIRTY-THREE SHOTS ON GOAL IN A SHUTOUT LOSS BUT WE BLAME THE GOALTENDER?Binnington’s numbers/rankings this season:View attachment 967393
I hear ya. Many might disagree with me, but I would bench Buch for a couple games to see if he can get a reset. While he has 2g, 4a in his last 10 games, he is a -6. If you just look at the games starting with the CGY back to backs, he has 2 assists in 6 games and is -4. He's just not cutting it right now. They benched Saad repeatedly, and while he isn't scoring yet, his play seems to be improving. I think Buch needs the same treatment as Saad, Bolduc, Joseph, etc... Play better or sit. While they are at it, give Sunny a few games from the pressbox, and put Faksa as the 3C and Walker or Joseph as the 4CTHIRTY-THREE SHOTS ON GOAL IN A SHUTOUT LOSS BUT WE BLAME THE GOALTENDER?
I put that in caps for a reason. This team needs to acquire quality players to fill the holes or it won't matter WHO is in goal.
The PP is trash, the PK is trash, you got players in the lineup who are dragging major heel like they're either injured or disinterested... I'm sorry, I don't like Monty. I get he doesn't have a lot to work with, but he has a lot more to work with than just trash and it's unacceptable that this team plays so poorly, so unfocused and so far below their skillsets. If this is the future Army is envisioning, we are in big trouble and the thing is, I believe alot more in Army than Monty. Monty has a lot of work to do to figure this out if he's really The Guy. Are we just going to continue bringing on players who come in and tear up the world and then slowly dwindle into the mediocrity of the lineup and not bench them and bring up folks hungry to play? For the Blues, This Is The Way?
As for Binny y'all can shit talk all you want but when it's playoff time, he conquers. The Avs are still having nightmares about that and they won the Cup.
