After watching last night, Sweeney needs to see if he can get Frederic and Geekie at 4M each today. If cap goes up 7% that is like paying them 3.7 today. That will be
value next year.

Geekie perhaps as he truly has reverted back to the hard working middle six forward we saw last year. I gladly see him back beyond this season at this rate.

Frederic has only been worth that 5% of this season. Seems a steep reward.

This team has the worst defensive structure of any Bruins team I can remember. Definitely the worst since, Julien came in and revamped our defensive philosophies and game plan. I would almost like to bring him back for a 2-3 year stretch, I actually think he could be good for the kids eventhough we did not see him that way in the first go round. His defensive structure led more directly to offense then any other I have seen the Bruins employ.

That would be a hard NO on a possible Julien return. Claude's passed his expiry date when comes to head coaching in the NHL. My #1 choice would be David Carle.

At least Swayman gives the Bruins a league leader in one category: most goals allowed.

Yeah he had a crappy start to the season, we know that. He's been playing really well of late. It's kind of hard for a goalie to look good night in night out when facing 40+ shots and the stupid number of high danger chances he looks at outside of pur shot totals.

Yeah, Frederic based on totality of this season alone hasn't earned it, but take last years play and his recent play and I'm willing to roll the dice on him as opposed to
someone from the outside, unless you get lucky on a trade with some GM being a bonehead, which can happen occasionally, so maybe take that route at the deadline first.

They were a Coyle & Swayman clear up the boards from going into Jersey with 8 points instead of 7 in last 4 games

They don’t look right but they Also are missing their top two D who lost 50 hard minutes

Losing your first game in 5 in regulation with a team missing key players is ridiculous

The problem is that the team mostly wins when Swayman and Pastrnak stand on their heads. The offensive is almost nonexistent when Pasta is cold, the defensive is bad, the power play came around a little bit but still is not dependable and the penalty killing is horrendous. They were bad when McAvoy was healthy and playing and Lindholm coming back won´t change the whole dynamic of the team. They don´t have the guns to take a run in the playoffs. It´s possible that they will reach them but what is won to go in and lose out in the first round?

See where the team is in the standings at the beginning of the Four Nations and then decide which direction you want to go. Rebuild doesn´t make sense but I would absolutely would support a retool. They core needs a wake up call and some fresh wind in the room. This team right now won´t cut it ...

You're dominant hand should be bottom hand for shooting power, no? Golf same thing right? With baseball top hand is your dominant hand but place bat down on ground and its bottom hand, no?

Many Canadian kids learn to shoot with their dominant hand at the top of the stick (USA kids too, like me). Europeans tend to do the opposite.

AHL maybe not at that level, but their pretty easy to defend against, forecheck their breakout and stop Pasta. Pastrnak at this point and time is this teams only serious threat to create and sustain offense. You stop him, shut him down, and you stand a pretty good chance of beating the Bruins unless Swayman stands on his head. Pretty pathetic for a Payroll that is near the top of the League!

write righty (courtesy of the nuns). Swear I developed a slight stutter from being forced to write righty...lol.

I'm a lefty in all sports, baseball, hockey, surfing, skateboard, and the one time I tried golf. But I write (and throw) righty, naturally. No nuns to blame, because my left hand is basically useless for anything but sports. My older brother is even weirder, bats, throws, shoots, golfs, even cuts with scissors righty, but he writes lefty.

My dad was a victim of the nuns, though. He was ambidextrous because of it, and sometimes switched his pencil/paintbrush (he was an artist) depending on what type of art he was doing (i.e. lines vs. shading). Don't tell him that though, he swore up and down that he was a righty (the nuns really did a job on him, LOL).
