Fwiw last night was slightly encouraging. The line changes were an improvement. It was hard to tell if it was the poor play of the Avs though.
Long one but another great breakdown. I really think this guy is one the best voices on the Bruins.
Reminds me of that poor russian kid we traded for. His name escapes me but he played with his head down all the time. Had numerous concussions had to retirePoitras really needs to keep his head up & on a swivel because if he doesn't his NHL career will be shortened by head injuries. Someone needs to have a serious talk with him.
I won't hold it against Sway since he missed training camp and preseason (and it has been showing IMO), but thought Korpi has been better so far.Korpi had a good game , made big saves . Gave B's a chance to win .
He really is. My favorite to listen toKenny is the ultimate professional and when he was allowed to talk, he was solid.
Why should the magic wear off? They’re big and fast and play big-boy hockey. They play fast and physical and are tough to handle below the dots. That leads to good things. Being a handful below the dots is a recipe for success. Nothing magical about it.

Check him out on the Short Shift Podcast too - great show. This guy really knows his hockey and the Bruins
I agree with just about everything he says for 2 games in a row
Coyle isn't matching last year, but he isn't going to continue along at a .2PPG either.
Zacha won't produce at .4PPG either. I think some people are panicking about it specifically with them. I'm more concerned with Poitras play being impacted by getting crushed to often.
Imagine the play-by-play guy being given the opportunity to actually call the game! I think ESPN is even worse for that. Two colour commentators, I believe. And don't they have a former ref analyzing calls, too? If you happen to just be listening, you don't know what's happening on the ice, for Pete's sake. Don't get me started on PK...Kenny is the ultimate professional and when he was allowed to talk, he was solid.
He's one of the greats of this generation thats for sureHe really is. My favorite to listen to
I don't see Zacha driving a line.... not enough engage. Will have flashes because he is definalty a talented player and is big, but IMO he needs a motor, a catalyser. He ain't working by himself.I can think of 3 times right off the top my head where Zacha was home free off Pasta feeds and just never finished. He buries those we can assume you would have a different take here.Heck he even jumped in & had a fight or took a few even ,he's engaged.
I agree.... on the bold partZacha,Coyle, Frederic and Geekie will eventually start putting up some points and not the current rate they are now. More concerned with the overall team D.
Watching on DVR early morning also means fast forwarding thru all the intermission bsAs always, the mute button is your friend.
Nothing I've seen from Tufte suggests that he's an NHL player in any sense. No speed, no hands and no idea how to use his size. He's 6'6 230lbs but doesn't do the big man things well like working the wall and protecting the puck. Took 2 penalties last night that led to Avs goals as well. Would rather they just waive him and sign Johnson.I haven't been impressed by Tufte or Jones yet, small sample size.
I don't see what they are bring to the team other than size and some dumb penalties.
Their play thus far has been very vanilla, but heck, I could say that about 3 or 4 other Bruins forwards as well.
Could be just trying to find their place.
They need to show something, make a positive impact.
Or, maybe they should spend some time in Providence, if they pass waivers, and work on their game.
Become possible call ups for injuries if they play well enough.
This is really interesting. Thanks for sharing this.Fun fact: Max Jones and Riley Tufte were both 1st round picks in 2016 taken right after each other at 24 and 25 respectively. The Bruins also now have a total of 4 first round players from that draft (McAvoy, Frederic)
I'll be in Tranna for Iron Maiden that night....Circle the 26th against the Leafs. Can't wait.
Koepke is the real deal we went 1/3 which is good for guys on the minimum.Nothing I've seen from Tufte suggests that he's an NHL player in any sense. As for Max Jones, I'm willing to give him some more time. He missed just about all of training camp with an injury and has been scratched for 3 of their 5 games so far so he hasn't really had an opportunity to get up to speed. He'll never put up the numbers you would expect out of a 1st round pick but I like the energy he brings and seems to forecheck hard albeit a bit reckless sometimes. Wish he'd cut down on the dumb penalties. He doesn't strike me as a guy who's in every night but at the end of the day he has over 250 NHL games under his belt so he must not be completely useless.

I had never even heard of him before we picked him up lol I like him a lot so far thoughKoepke is the real deal we went 1/3 which is good for guys on the minimum.
I thought he should have had the 2nd goal as well.
3 goals on 25 shots is not ideal.
Stats from Korpisalo would be nice but you really just want him to go 15-15 vs better teams. Rasks backups always played the hardest opponents and of course against teams that had his number.Hard to blame the goalie for 3 PP goals. Sure it would have been nice to get one save there but he made enough of them to win.
I watch most games on DVR and skip the commercials and intermissions. I’m just not available at game time and watching a recording cuts almost an hour off. You just have to make sure nobody tells you the score!Watching on DVR early morning also means fast forwarding thru all the intermission bs
I see Derek Forbort is on personal leave from the Canucks. Nothing too serious, I hope. I have a soft spot for guys who are willing to sacrifice their bodies the way he does.
