1st period thoughts:

- Defence is plain bad. Even Chiarot on one occasion had so much time to make either skate the puck out or make a pass, instead he fired it along the boards resulting in a turnover and a scoring chance. Why is this such a hard skill for our defencemen? Edvinsson has some growing pains but at least he can already make a pass.

- Berggren was excellent. As he was last game. Staggering that some are writing him off. Give him ice time and some linemates with some skill and he will produce.

- Kasper looked decent. Would like to see more willingness to skate with the puck but that’ll come. Like the third line.

- Tarasenko looked really good on that goal and the shifts after. Very noticeable.

- 4th line and especially Veleno looked great. Joey has spring in his step tonight, and is taking hits to make plays.
