Allen won't be able to hold another period like this, he's alone by himself in this game.

Look at that roster… can’t blame MSL.

Without Dach we’re a one line team. And even there it’s like 2/3rds of a top line right now.
Sorry but MSL called " a motivator " doesn't show at all.

We are not a good team but we shouldn't be that bad. Also i don't think MSL practiced anything defensively since he joined to practice. It's easy to say that the team is bad and has injuries but so does every teams.

The team is dead last in penalty taken and are beyond sleeper on the ice.

It's MSL job to motivate them , I feel like we back in the Ducharme coaching. Nobody gets punished for a bad game.

It's also not normal to be that clueless in 5v5 in our zone. The players are completely lost and had the softest schedule this month in the NHL

Coincidentally
Draisaitl has 1 year left next year at 8.5mill and then UFA.
Do you throw the vault at him
I fail to see how crushing him cartoon style under a vault will help us.

Ohhhh I see...I dunno how unless we get out of some of our long term contracts

I’ve implied last season that he was perhaps our best center and to not sleep on him. He’s such a versatile player, he does everything well.

He’s a PPG player, give him someone like Caufield and he will blow up.
Only current Hab to have ever scored over 80 points

Probably. We also got scored 3 times already when the opponents pulled their goalie.
We don't try and create turnovers, that's not part of our game.

We wait for the other team to mess up without applying any pressure.

It probably worked for Marty when he was coaching PeeWee, but the NHL guys are too good for that ridiculous strategy

Tbh if he can stay healthy this year, I wouldn't mind him on a three year contact for decent cap

Lol you wanna blame Hughes or Gorton instead? Be my guest

The young guys stand no chance of developing in an environment like this

What kind of nonsense take is this?

What "environment"?

The one where the young players get ample opportunity to play?
The one where the coach is direct, open and transparent?
The one where the team pegged for bottom 3-5 starts the season playing over .600 hockey?

The emotional reactivity behind takes like these is fascinating lol

The environment where we skate cardio for 60 minutes without our good players ever touching the puck, or giving support to receive a pass

* plays Matheson Gallagher Pearson Anderson on the Pp* over Ylonen Slaf Guhle and Barron but hey get all the icetime.

Also the same as Slaf having less ice time than Jake Evans last time i checked

Good Lord man give it a rest. Your sky is falling crap is so boring.

Rebuilding club. Something you’ve screamed for. Now it’s here and you want to keep screaming.

Dach’s injury ensured a miserable season. There’s nothing MSL or any other coach can do about that.

This is what rebuilding looks like. Sit back, watch younger players develop. Hope for a Caufiled goal… that’s what this year is going to be about. You wanted rebuilding? You got it. Now give it a Goddamned rest.

Maybe Monahan is actually healthy right now. It's a commonly used trope to call him broken down or injury-prone. Maybe he is dealing with the chronic injuries proactively then.

Indeed...

The guy was an elite player in his early/mid 20's. Ran into a brutal stretch of injuries, worked his arse off to get back (while being a great teammate despite the demotions he endured in Calgary), and seems to be healthy again.

Should be no surprise that he's one of, if not our best skaters. Hope he stays healthy and that he & the Habs can agree on a reasonable extension

I propose Buffalo allows Slafkovsky, Newhook and Caufield to score.

In return, the Habs give up 4 goals where Thompson scores, or gets an assist on all of the goals.

He said he's the best he's been in years when he signed that contract. I said we need to take him at his word. That didn't go over too well here.
