Irrelevant of the outcome of this, the hockey displayed so far this season (aside from a couple of periods) is night and day compared to what we have been fed in the last few years.

Apart from the play-offs, most of the games lost was lost in five minutes of total braindeaded-ness.

That was 100% on Garland. Instead of chipping it up the boards or holding on to it, he tries to makes a no-look behind the back pass to no one (while in the D-zone).

Goligoski did the right thing by clearing it the boards (to an open teammate) how is that his fault? smh

To me this looks like Garland did try to chip it up the boards, although blindly. He likely sensed Theodore coming right behind him. Garland really wasn't open.

Goose looks at the VGK when he's still in front of the net. Then puts his head down and sends it blindly up the boards. He had time, he didn't have to panic.
