Time to end Boston's winning streak.
Will do my part, ready, aim, firrrerreWith a bazooka, round 4. Let’s make it a little harder for them.
Outscore Boston at ES
Top line scores 1+ goals
Hold Boston to 30 shots or less
1+ fights
Have more PP than the other team that the officials despise
Score the 2nd goal for the season on the PP
Bonus scoring - boards
Hit 30+ pages in the GDT -
Make @Leonardo87 squirt beverage of his choice out his nose
A post pithy enough to score 20+ likes (other than the 1st post)
What is notion of scratching carlson? Hes pretty much our # 1 center..
Did they have practice today?
Probably start to see that more around Christmas. Players should be expected to be fully fueled this early in the seasonProbably because Verbeek or Cronin said he'd play in the NHL all year but not every game to manage his load or something like that.
However, whoever said that probably means if he is wearing down half way through the season. I seriously doubt it means game 3 lol. That'd be silly.

Having playoff aspirations, we kind of need our best young player to try and avoid starting 1-4I am indifferent if Carlsson plays or not in his first b2b.
I do remember Cronin running the team hard in the pre-season in the AM full practice with PM game on the same day that it probably lead to some fatigue that Carlsson fell off his skates and into the boards. No idea what's wrong with Drysdale, but he's out after losing a whole season last year.
We're in a marathon, not a sprint. Maybe Verbeek thinks we could sneak into the playoffs with the thoughts of Carlsson finishing strong in the 2nd half.
We don't really have playoff aspirations, though. Sure, the management and coaching staff is going to say it because it would be stupid for many reasons to come out and say, "We're not going to be good this year." But the reality is: the Ducks are not going to be good this year. A playoff run would be a miracle that even Mike Eruzione and Al Michaels couldn't imagine.Having playoff aspirations, we kind of need our best young player to try and avoid starting 1-4
I would bet 10k to win 100 that he plays tonightWe don't really have playoff aspirations, though. We need our best young player to stay healthy and develop properly. I want to see him every single game, just like everyone else does, but if it's better for him in the long run to take a day off now and then to recover and/or work on some aspect of his game or do some specialized conditioning, I don't mind that. I want to see Leo Carlsson dominate the Western Conference for many years. I don't need to see him play 80 games this year. If he plays 65 or 70 with a few games off but he's better at the end of the season and better for next season because of it, count me in.
Regardless of my previous statements, it would be interesting for them to bench Carlsson because didn't Mintyukov play the last B2B?Does he have a history of benching rookies on back-to-backs or is this just misconstrued speculation being carried over because @DuckDuckGetz thought Eakins did this with Z and Dysdale as rookies?
Just seems like an odd thing to bring up for no real reason to believe it'll happen.
He won’t have his games monitored until at least around the new year. And even then, it coincides with someone like lundestrom coming back and us maybe not wanting to wave a player etcRegardless of my previous statements, it would be interesting for them to bench Carlsson because didn't Mintyukov play the last B2B?
Although I'm not well versed enough on their respective previous leagues to know if Minty would be more used to a higher workload than the Carlsson
And if I’m not mistaken, the NBA did some sort of recent study saying Load Management doesn’t really prevent injuries or even work like people believe.Having playoff aspirations, we kind of need our best young player to try and avoid starting 1-4
Ding ding ding “ load management “ imho is our Gms way to be able to not need to wave players at various times of the year. Mixed in with “ ok coach Cronin if he looks a little tired give him a game off” when speaking of our young kidsAnd if I’m not mistaken, the NBA did some sort of recent study saying Load Management doesn’t really prevent injuries or even work like people believe.
Now I now the NHL is different from the NBA but I don’t think the concept of load management is all that beneficial. Somehow players in all leagues in the past survived.
Let Carlsson play until his play says otherwise.
I bet 10k that if he does sit, the ducks Twitter feed will be more entertaining than the game it self.I would bet 10k to win 100 that he plays tonight
Lol +1I bet 10k that if he does sit, the ducks Twitter feed will be more entertaining than the game it self.
Need to be this market makerLol +1
For sure!!!!!!! Lots of anger will appear!I bet 10k that if he does sit, the ducks Twitter feed will be more entertaining than the game it self.
I'm not saying I think he'll sit tonight. I just don't think sitting Carlsson on occasion is a bad idea.I would bet 10k to win 100 that he plays tonight
I think I speak for everyone who is thinking it is fine if he sits a game I wont be able to watchI'm not saying I think he'll sit tonight. I just don't think sitting Carlsson on occasion is a bad idea.
I don't think the NBA and NHL are alike in that sense. The NHL is a lot more physically demanding. Not that the NBA is some sort of league for weaklings, but there is a lot more physical contact in hockey. And we're talking about an 18-year-old.And if I’m not mistaken, the NBA did some sort of recent study saying Load Management doesn’t really prevent injuries or even work like people believe.
