I'd say it's more about teams not understanding that players are in their prime around 25/26. Guys that age are better but you'd give the minutes to the vets.

regardless, back then players werent considered "in their primes" until they were older. i wasnt arguing the validity just saying how it was lol

Except for the fact that the chief medical personnel in the province have all said that the tournament would be safe and not create any additional covid hazards. Additionally QMJHL was playing all season with travel and no one said anything..

it’s really weird to see this weird stance in Canada that sports can’t/shouldn’t happen when quite literally everywhere else in the world is making it work despite Covid. It’s just stupid at the end of the day.

We are in a minimum 2 week lockdown now thanks to the worst wave we've had in NS since the pandemic began. I'm glad Premier Rankin made the call to cancel the tournament, and I say that as someone who planned to go to games before COVID reared its ugly head. The IIHF should have had contingency plans in place but the NS government moving swiftly to combat the virus is consistent with how it has acted all along, and residents here are largely grateful for that.

I can't say Nylander's pursuit on the back check was anything to write home about, it looked lackadaisical and disinterested, like one of those "here you do it" kind of approaches. Willie should've been all over Suzuki by the time they reached the blueline.

Just his stick, he kept it by his legs, he should've had it 4 feet in front of him right in Suzuki's shooting lane.

That was Rogers/SN who canned Strombo. CBC just airs games now. Rogers makes all personnel decisions.
