i know I am one of the minority, but I don't believe professionals should be in the Olympics. It's considered amateur sports.

They should use a U23 model for the Olympics IMO. They should also start the season a week earlier when they plan to shutdown for a week. If I was in the NHLPA I'd probably ask about it. The players already spend more than a week dicking around in extended useless camps.

I was warning everyone that the Detroit game was going to be more difficult than what you see on paper. Detroit's season was essentially on the line as they simply couldn't afford to fall 7 points behind. Now it's 3 points.

I think the team will respond well tonight. New Jersey has kind of been struggling as of late, but they have always seemed like a tough out on a Saturday night since the brodeur days.
