i just don't get why 102 is nearly empty EVERY game...its crazy...

No real season ticket holders based there. You can see on Ticketmaster all the seats available most nights (NOTE: CBJ gave season ticket holders a survey that rewarded 2 lower bowl tickets to a Tues/Thur game during this two week home stand, many of those seats were in 102-101 area).

Concerning tickets and open seats...

We originally had a group of 4 people, each with a single seat and a single PSL. After the first lock-out, one guy dropped out. So, 4 seats, 3 people (paying equal shares) 2 guys with 1 PSL, 1 guy with 2 PSLs. Then we would split the tickets evenly in both cases so everyone would have all four seats for an equal share of the home games (a home made partial season plan).

Before last year, the group blew up. We kept our PSL (which prorated over all the seasons, really isn't that expensive), but went with a 10 game/4 seat package.

Even though "our seats" in 203 were vacated when the group blew up, we were told that we could not maintain those seats because we were only partial season ticket holders and those were being "saved" for full season ticket holders. In hindsight, I don't mind that we moved from 203 to 205, but it was annoying at the time.

TL;DR - the team may be limiting certain seating areas to full season ticket holders. I wonder if those are the "empty" areas.

If you look at how they mark areas at select a seat events, full season holders get the front rows, 1/2 season holders next the next group, quarter season, back further, the set 1/2 season gets better selection than the 1/2 season flex, etc.

Its probably more than most people when they pick their seats don't pick the corners. I'd personally rather have a few rows back and on the side than low and in the corner for my permanent tickets but that.s just me

I am in 121, Row C, seats 9 & 10. Two rows in front of me there are four seats against the glass that last year were empty every game except for Detroit and Chicago. I probably sat in those "on the glass" seats for 75% of the games.

This year---those seats are always full, and I mean ALWAYS. And since the people sitting there are usually young people, I doubt they are paying the $150 per seat listed price. So CBJ is doing some kind of giveaway or promo work with those seats.

I will say as far as attendance goes if the Jackets not only make the playoffs but also win a round or two in it, come next season empty seats will not be a big issue.
Look at Pittsburgh before they became a success years ago. It was once a rarity for them to get old Igloo to fill up. Now they have a waiting list for season tickets.

I sit in 118, Row S, directly above the Zamboni entrance and love it - good view of all the ice, protected from flying pucks (haven't noticed the net in years), and just steps from the concourse. I've looked around at the Seat Selection options, but haven't seen anything I like better.
