Chabot retaliation crosscheck to Geekie was so selfish
Imagine doing that in the PO
Anyway I don’t think it’s in the card for this season

This is exactly what the best case scenario looks like for this year; playing solid defensive hockey and battling tooth and nail for one of the last playoff spots.

GDTs are always a shit show after a
Is there really no better case scenario than this? Why is the bar so low?

Might as well not suit up and go to the casino if you are going to help the team that much

They played a good away game & were in it right to the end until Chabot gave the puck away again. They need to get healthy, all the injuries are adding up. Were injured but came back Amadio, Zub, Forsberg, Chabot & Perron. There are a lot of injuries to players this yr.

Injured Forwards - Norris, Gregor
Injured Defencemen - Sanderson, Jensen, Hamonic, JBD
Injured goalie - Ullmark

On another note, people have said we have no depth yet Sebrango came in & played well in his two games. Matinpalo & Ostapchuk have also been very good & Merilainen came in & was great in net for a number of games. But we need our starters to get healthy & come back to work & when our best players to start putting the puck in the net. They are hanging right in there, but need some puck luck soon.
You must have been watching a different game. They played OK at times, but I never felt that they were playing well enough to win the game.

The scoring has dried up, and our big guns (Tkachuk, Stutzle, Batherson) have been silent for awhile. I knew the scoring had decreased considerably, but hearing that the Senators have been shut out 5 times in the last 11 games really highlighted and put an exclamation point on the problem.

I do agree with a couple of things. We do have a lot of injuries. Sanderson, Norris and Ullmark are most notable. The rest don’t matter that much as depth should be able to fill in. I hope Jensen’s injury is not serious.

The other thing I agree with is this place is on high emo alert after a few losses.

Had we come out of that with a point, it would have been thanks to Forsberg.

That said, they game should have been tied when Korpisalo failed to freeze the puck and Stu put it in. Sometimes shit happens and a bad call affects the outcome, doesn't mean we played well or anything, but despite how bad we played it would have been a tie game with 10 mins to go, or there abouts.

The team looks like it's struggling handling the puck, and is a bit disjointed at times, when that happens, you just got to simplify play meat and potatoes hockey, but instead we're overpassing. Hopefully they can get some practices in and clean things up, but with the schedule leading into the 4 nations tournament, it seems like we won't have a lot of opportunity for that.
