If I'm Quinn I ride the kids the rest of the way. PP2 gets the 1:30 shifts. Kreider and Zib on the 4th line, send them a message for next season. Try Krav at Center for a few games and see what happens. Play for next year.

NYR have same or better record than 3 teams who will make playoffs as 4 seed in each other division

Seriously, what has he done so WRONG, to not play? Does he not give effort in practice? Taking a stupid penalty here and there doesnt warrant this benching. Not anything that Kreider doesnt do, and Strome in the past.

In seriousness, it could be stuff Quinn sees from him away from the puck that we mere mortals don't detect. I gather it's a similar lens that he applies to the rest of the kids that determines their worthiness for more ice time.
