They’re playing fine. They haven’t played in 2 weeks. The 5v5 offense is still a problem but the zone time and puck movement is much better since the 6-7 minute mark, and they will draw penalties and get chances if they keep this up.

Practice and game speed aren’t the same. It’s not just “they should be skating hard in practice!!” It’s decision time, physicality, stakes, etc. Taking 10 minutes to get up to speed is fine with me if they keep up the pace and possession since.
