Or maybe the rest of the league was sleep walking to start the season (which is very much a thing) while our team came out guns blazing with a new HC and a huge chip on their shoulder after last playoffs. Unfortunately though, all of that has worn off and the rest of the league (outside of the Metro) is beginning to turn it on
I'd rather see them have a shitty start and get better as the season goes on. That's a better way to progress.

This is exactly what happened.

This is spot on!

I never said they have no competition, I said they're the best team in the league. That doesn't mean #'s 2-10 aren't right there.
True, I guess I was referring more to the general discourse around them.

Good on Kris Knoblauch I guess.

I miss what the Hawks are doing rn. Casually rebuilding with all sunshine and prospects.

I would agree. Though starting this way also doesn’t mean they can’t figure it out as the season progresses. Ebbs and flows are unique in all situations.

I’m just worried a few of their core aren’t aging well. And if that’s true, it will absolutely limit their ability to have a deep playoff run.

They’re not a bad team, so stupid, but they’re playing bad. Everyone forgot how to score, and other then last game where I thought Shesterkin really had no chance on any of the goals, they’re just not getting the big save. You would think they snap out of it but when, it’s become too long now.

Looked like a pretty good tip by “Young Sheldon.”

But I do feel like Knights don’t need many more chances to get a couple more. Just hope they don’t come fast in the second to make our boys sag like sad sacks.
Don’t wanna say I called it again but…

At least they didn’t fold like the usual cheap suits.

Still, what a frustrating as f*** game.

Zibanejad had a really great chance in the first and he shit his pants. If he scores that, like he would have in the past, everyone just remembers that he had a nice goal.

When he's not finishing, this is the player he is.
Same can be said for Laf... Two super high ranger chances and he shits the bed on both.

Edit: that is supposed to be high "danger" chances... But I'm not fixing it.

They're a bad team.

Granted, I think they're in an awful stretch of luck right now but it's really exposing the legitimate flaws.

Yeah, I'm happy for him, but the next time a team getting almost 60% of the scoring chances in their games fires their coach, I'm putting in my resume.
Oh absolutely. I know he will get some Jack Adams votes because that's just how it is, but the truth is that he did nothing. Stuart Skinner and Connor McDavid unf***ed themselves, that's about it. Woodcroft had one of the best winning% in Oilers history before he was fired, he's a good coach.

I’d hire him after Laviolette gets let go. He’s the one who got Edmonton playing the way they are now.
