Genuine question, what kind of numbers was he putting up with Brown and Williams? I don't remember.

Good question I don't know either. But carter was still producing without kopi, Williams stopped once removed. When was kopi last goal? I cannot remember hardly any goals from guys not named carter or brown the past week or 2 from the forwards.

Kopi is back into his pass only mode.....its soooooo frustrating to watch. Kopi has a 40 goal scorer wrist shot he rarely uses.....

I'll look them up for you after the game, but I can tell you right now they are poor, poor offensively and even worse defensively.

Digging deeper into the numbers for MR this season, it's painfully obvious the only time he has been able to put up assists is with Carter, and no matter who he played with that line has been on the ice for more goals against than any other line. His season has been poor, especially for a defensive oriented team.

I think the point is, if he can't put good numbers up with Brown and Williams, then keeps doing the same thing with whoever he plays with, then there's a constant problem developing offensively, and unfortunately it's a player that I really like.

If you can't put numbers up with Brown and Williams, you have a problem. STOLL was putting up numbers with those two. I think the three seasons of mid-season injuries that he's playing through is a bit of a convenient excuse used as justification for poor play. There is no proof whatsoever that he's injured.

I know that the cap goes up at the deadline, but doesnt that make it harder for teams to make big trades because the big names that are available become more easier to target by other teams as well. No doubt that the kings will want to be in on the action but what if we draw the short straw ?

6 more years at almost 6 mill a year.

I just don't see it. If the offense is fading like the numbers indicate what are you getting from this asset?

That offense is still 2nd on the team. I know Richards' play has been lackluster, but maybe we should look at team scoring as a whole before we throw Richards under the bus. I doubt he is solely responsible for it. He certainly wasn't the first part of the season.

It's not a shocker that Brown and Williams did better once Richards was demoted off the line.

Stolls been real good.

Guys not disagreeing, his play has been ****. I'm just saying most of them have been terrible as well.

From October through mid-November, Richards had 5 goals and 17 points through 20 games.

From mid-November until today, Richards has 1 goal and 13 points through his next 27 games (not including tonight's game).

I totally agree. The thing is, at his pay, if he can't be a spark to make other players better, then we're paying for another Shawn Horcoff. And that is extremely concerning.

You're right. But who is it going to be easier to let go of Kopitar or Richards. Both have really bad slumps. The bottom 6 has always been disgusting.

It's not just the scoring aspect of the game with Richards. He's disengaged and often plain bad defensively.
