His play just fell off a cliff over the last five weeks ......its strange.

I'm really hoping he's playing hurt like he usually does. He was so damn good until just before Christmas I see no other explanation. The Olympic break can't come soon enough for him.

Yeah, it's official. We have a boring team. I've turned the channel or gotten distracted by other things in more games this year than I can remember. I'm just really over watching everyone bobble passes and pretty much fail to create anything of note in the offensive zone.

And is someone going to fight Reaves or what?

It goes on long enough, we'll be looking at Chicago or Anaheim in the first round. Good luck with that. The Kings have to start scoring goals, period.

Pay what it takes to help fix the problem. We don't have time for this crap anymore.

The problem is you might pay what it takes, let's say Toffoli and a first, and the problem might still be there. Not a great situation to be in, it's quite a gamble.

So what kind of penalties are we looking at for that last play?

Everyone who complains that we should be conservative making a trade are delusional. I don't care what it takes. We drafted well, have numerous picks, and are in a win now mode. This team needs a big shakeup. Putting up one ****ing goal night in and night out is embarrassing.

Typical NHL too. No one can make a decent hit without everyone getting their lady parts hurt.

I agree. But who knows DL seems a bit complacent and too hooked onto the Line up. He just seems so inactive for a team doing so bad offensively.

It's not just Richards. I know he's the current whipping boy, but playing with ****ing Lewis and Frats isn't helping the cause.

He got himself into that position. He's playing with those kinds of players because he's a liability when hes on with other players doing better than him. He needs to play better himself to be boosted back with better wingers.

Given the Kings' recent history with drafting forwards, I fully expect Toffoli to find success elsewhere. Who was the last player the Kings drafted who developed into a top six forward? Anze Kopitar in 2005. Dean Lombardi hasn't drafted any player who is currently in the top six. The only player to come remotely close is Dwight King.

This is why STL is 3-0 against the hawx and we're 0-3. The blues can intimidate a smaller team like the hawx, but kings can't play that kind of game. We play just too nice.

I disagree. Dean is a very smart GM. He's tried fixing the left wing problem, but it never panned out. Penner, at the time, was an awesome move. Turns out he was a bum.

I guarantee Dean pulls at least one more trade.

I'd personally go the big shakeup route. Send this team a strong message.

That's why we got rid of Carcillo and kept Lewis.

I'm just saying its not just him. Ever since Sutter has put carter and kopi on the same line the offense has gone to hell.

Up until December, Richards was playing just fine, some nights he was the best center on the ice for the Kings, especially when Kopitar got off to a slow start. He was also showing great chemistry with Toffoli early on, then him (along with many others) took a turn for the worse and have been completely ineffective since late December.

I honestly don't think there were many nights he was better than Kopitar, even when he was putting up assists with Carter the amount of goals scored against them was ridiculous. And I think that is the biggest reason Sutter split them up.

The problem with Richards is when he isn't scoring his glaring weaknesses come into play. No one is expecting 30 goals, but I'm not sure the Kings can carry MR's cap hit for the next 6 seasons after this one if he is going to struggle offensively unless attached with Carter. A $5.75 mill a year center should be expected to be able to generate his own offense or at the very least play a respectable defensive game, even tonight, you saw a ridiculously lazy effort against Jaden Schwartz along the goal line and to the half wall, if you are injured just sit out and heal, right now his play is hurting the Kings.

I mean now and after the penner debacle. He should of been more active. Yeah this team needs a big trade, not just a moulson trade. This team needs an official wake up call. Watching anaheim all their players are on the hustle, ours are just sitting in their positions and never swarming.

The line shakeup is baffling. We were playing so well. Now look at this team. Same old Kings, they can barely score one a night.
