**** it I'm going to watch porn
not really calling this game out in particular, but..I really do want to like Backes more...but it's getting pretty hard at times to like the game I see him play.
I guess I was expecting a little more out of him on a shift to shift basis.
not that it matters for a game as bad as tonight as everything just fell apart.
They beat the Blackhawks and suddenly the mood changes.
I don't understand why some of you are so eager to fire Claude. It's not like they have been underperforming over the past 2 1/2 years. Maybe they could have made the playoffs as a bottom seed, but that's about it and doesn't change the fact that he's top coach in this league.
I get the argument that this relationship might have run its course, but I am not convinced of that yet. At least he shouldn't be shown the door before others...like Neely. He should have been fired yesterday. Making emotional moves (like dealing Seguin right after losing the SCF) doesn't bode well for such an influential front office job.
My list would go:
0. Charlie Jacobs (too bad that's impossible)
1. Nelly
2. Sweeney
3. Clode
Julien deserves the longest leash. He earned somuch credit. What have the others done besides dismantling a powerhouse who should have won more trophies AND at the same time having a #2 overall (turned out to be a current top 10 player) and another top 10 pick?
I wouldn't exactly blame Sweeney either. First of all it's questionable how much of a say he actually has, but I haven't been impressed with most of his moves yet (besides revamping the farm system, which comes a long way after enduring the dark Chiarelli years).
What I'd want is a known commodity who replaces Neely...you know, someone with hockey sense, a better resume in that regard and a better handle of the media.

Spooner is Bruins personified. Can be so good, but is only that 20% of the time.

Great post - like Krejci-light. Too many floaters on this roster.

I can't decide between that non-call and the call on Pasta. Which was worse?
Refs clearly want Clode fired...
