the bottom line is this a playoff team at this point believe the answer is NO.
i hope the bruins turn into sellers at this point.

All the guys that need to go have terms (one of K.Miller/McQuaid, Hayes, Beleskey, Nash) and others wouldn't get you much (Liles, Morrow, Schaller, Moore).

That leaves Spooner, who would not be a "selling" move but more a "find a better player" in return. Spooner ship has sailed. Has no futur on this team and is not that good. I could see him getting PP time and scoring on a bad team like Arizona. Can't see a contender wnating him.

You also have to keep the minimum required for expansion so two of Hayes/Nash/Beleskey/Schaller have to be kept to be exposed as well as one of K.Miller/McQuaid plus Khudobin.

Unlike last year when Sweeney decided to keep Loui and the previous year when Chiarelli kept the Yeti, both who were atop of the league available players at the deadline, this time, Sweeney doesn't have much to sell.

Get some picks back that you have wasted on Liles last year, get something from Moore from a contender and hope someone bites and unload the albatross contract of #86. Then, re-load after the expansion draft...

Get out of here with your "stats".

I'm with you. I was surprised they blew the lead. But when I saw the players responsible, I was not remotely surprised.

It's not like the Bruins are bad this year at protecting lead. 2nd best in the league leading after two before yesterday. How can someone expect them to lose in that situation? That was the 2nd time in 21 last night.

What IS the problem with the Bruins this year is their inability to come back from behind. Not protect lead.

They have only 2 wins trailing after 1 (2-7-2: 24th in the league).
They have only 1 win trailing after 2 (1-15-3: 27th)
7-14-2 when allowing the first goal

That is their problem. They can't come back.

But leading after two, which they did almost half the games, they are top-tier. Another point lost yesterday, just like their loss to NYI, Col and last seconds in regulation to Min and Habs, etc, that will surely haunt them at season end...

100% accurate. Krug just froze, Guess he hoped Spooner would bail him out. Spooner though was thinking the Dman would do his job.

100% wrong. Like most (to not say all) of your posts about Krug.

Spooner was on Nyquist. It was now his man. He was there long before the puck came but didn't care to get position or do anything else that Watch him tip the puck in.

Don't remember who every player on the ice was covering. But I can tell you that Spooner didn't cover Nyquist very well if at all...

Nobody, He saw Spooner coming down the slot and figured he would take him. But thats not what he should be doing. It is his job to attack the guy in front of the net.

Not leave it up to Spooner. Krug is the defensmen (Supposed) not Spooner. Again, he just froze and showed that dopy look on his face after the goal.

There were like 5 other plays he lost his guy. Someone went right by him right to the net on a breakaway just about. He gets lucky that he gets bailed out much of the time. Complete waste of our 5.25 million or whatever it is.

Some just don't bother watching the whole play develop, you can clearly see Krug stand 3 feet away maybe stay on him and left his stick.

Next close guy was at the point where Nash was after he figured out Backes was playin his wing.

Krug is terrible without puck on his stick..That said Bruins knew it .They want points from him.It is what he gets paid for They lack a top 2 D man now near 3 years That's on Sweeney and Neely..Anyone says other wise are making excuses This team will be drafting top 14 again..P.S Spooner bad without puck too.

Man Spooner was bad all game long. That line did not click at all. I think it was crazy to reward him with the first SO shot.

Gotta get 2 points out of that game.
