Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I think what’s concerning about Quinn (and I’m pretty meh on him, neither high or low) is that his team doesn’t respond in big games.
The youth is showing very clearly. Every defensemen looks scared ****less. But, Zibanejad, Kreider, Panarin...the veteran core needs to start playing too.

Quinn teams are so uptight and stressed. No one looks loose out there.

Vets playing very poorly. Newbies not much better. Too many penalties as well. Shesty, Smith and VK74 the bright spots so far IMO
Sadly, I think the damage is done, they may not get a call go their way in the 3rd period if borderline.
This is what happens when you take too many penalties. Sucked all the momentum out of this team.
Also, Kravtsov still on the 4th line is criminal at this point. He is exhibit A of why our young players aren't developing. They don't get rewarded when they play well.

I’m actually pretty tired of seeing Blackwell. He just doesn’t have the skill to complete that line.

I miss the simpler times when we just needed to watch ping pong balls bounce around. Team was much more successful at that.

This is a bad hockey team.
They are playing a well coached team that can match or exceed their physicality.

Clearly something Quinn excels at, and we can give him credit for (hey, he did have that string of games early this season where he couldn't stop talking about the importance of balls in competing with Boston/the Isles). Maybe he's great with balls but just has no pucks to give?

I actually think Blackwell is okay and all, yet that line as a whole does not look very good, so why not put Krav there?
Also Chytil was going, so if they are not going to do the above, why not play his line a little more instead of the Stromewellbread line?

It may not be any fault of his own (although I will never be able to justify his personnel choices) but I simply don’t feel confident in Quinn being the voice in the room and on the bench next year. Team does not come to play for him. Could just be the makeup of the team and maybe they won’t come to play for someone else either. But the only way to find out is to make a change. If nothing is different, you start having to shake things up from a roster standpoint, but that’s easier said than done with Bread, Kreider and Trouba locked in long term, 5 high ceiling kids on the roster, Lindgren/Fox and no solution at center right now beyond Zib. That’s 11 out of 18 skaters. A change is likely necessary whether Quinn deserves to shoulder the blame or not.
