This would be a good time to get two points. In regulation. Please. That is all I ask of this ****** thursday.
"@azc_mclellan: Michalek says he's in tonight."
Lot's of roster moves today but Z is a cog and I hope he goes tonight
Klesla needs to clear waivers and that doesn't happen until 24 hours so there most be some other move made. Halpern?
I was going to say, if anyone should be waived it's Halpern.
"@azc_mclellan: Michalek says he's in tonight."
Can somebody tell me what the hell is going on with mike smith? Why is he playing so poorly?
Just hoping that Z doesn't get broken again 2 shifts into the game. We don't do well rotating 5 Dmen.
Canucks throttled 9-1 in their last game against Ducks.
Ducks coach Bruce Beudreau: "You take it for what it was: an unfortunate game by Vancouver and I'm sure that they're next opponent is going to pay for that."
This is going to be hilarious.
I predict Yotes keep it close and take the game to OT or SO. Then they all pat themselves on the back for "keeping the game close" and for their "compete level".
Man I wonder if this team ever has the determination to actually come out at home and dominate the opening period, especially against tired opponents.
St. Louis, San Jose and Anaheim now are masters at this. Come out hard and set the tone from the get go.
I believe this is a coaching team. Only coaches have the power to light a fire under the ass of their players and prepare them for a game.
Don't worry about period 2 and 3, don't even worry about the game, worry about winning the 1st period. That's all they should be focused on - win and dominate the first period.
Sadly, this team doesn't have the coaching or leadership to inspire fast starts.
When was the last time we had a two goal lead after the first, even for a home game??? We're lucky if we score one or if the score is tied after 20.
This is not the way to set the tone and not the way to manage the game on home ice.
You and I must be the only one's that didn't get the memo about Tip being a Great Coach.
Even if that's the case, I still hesitate to call it a real look at a 100% healthy Yotes roster. I'd give it a couple games to iron out chemistry and roles on the lines and for recent returnees like Z to find their game-legs again. Is this the first game all year where we have everyone healthy? Knock on wood. In other words, this is our first look at our full roster.
Tip is a good coach, make no mistake about it. He stabilized this team a few years ago after that clown Gretzky left.
But his system is not working anymore and his words are falling on deaf ears these days.
Hence, his comment that the time for talking is over. If you can't talk anymore as a coach, then what role do you have?
The players are no longer listening to you and you can't exactly play the game for them.
Am I the only one who thinks tonight is a PHX win?
If the player are not listening to Him. He is no longer the Coach. Or a Coach in name only. The Coyotes then are a Coachless Team then. That's My problem with Him. So If the player don't listen to Him. Just who does He talk to before during and after the games?
Tippet in pre-game comments already sounding like a defeating man, coaching a defeated team.
So sad.
