Maybe Chytil ought to sit this one out if he is seriously being considered to be headingthe other way in a J T trade.

Another huge game and the start of 4 straight at home. Can the Rangers continue their more inspired play? We saw what happened last time there were trade rumors around the team.

If that deal is that close...well you are damned if you do and damned if you don't . Heck with it...dress it and then we go get a rental again with his LTIR space....if he gets conked on the noggin .

No doubt we can beat them . They have suspect goalie and about 6 guys out hurt and just finished two physical games . So... we will see what happens but we need to pay a price to score and win puck battles . That part I am not so sure on happening .
I have mentioned it twice now....Ottawa had 6 draft choices playing from the 2020 Laf draft in the same game of late ....I'm not sure if that is the roster tonight . That is darn good drafting . Three were first round picks . We should find and double the pay for that scout .

To be fair, The Rangers have had games this year where 5 2020 draft picks have been in the lineup. Laf/Schneider/Cuylle/Berard/Rempe.

If we’re trying to win games here, no idea why Rempe is in over Vesey.
Vesey is a legitimately solid defensive forward, and with Rempe we’re playing with 11 forwards most of the time

Yeah and Garand was a 2020 draft pick too.
Rempe sucks but the others will be or are players.

Rempe was a 6th rounder, the fact that he has stepped on NHL ice at all is a win for the organization.
Hey Ottawa… you guys drafted and developed him… don’t tell me you wanna miss out on having him now that he’s a big name! Take Mika with you after the game! His friend Chris will probably volunteer to come too. If Brady somehow gets lost and ends up leaving with the Rangers, you can even have Alexis. Leave Shane with us.

Yeah certainly defied the odds so on that end it’s a win.
They keep trying to make him a thing at the NHL level despite him clearly not being ready for it because of the mythical impact of his presence.

It's a small sample but nothing in Rempe's underlying numbers indicates to me that he's uniceable at the NHL level.

The players want him out there. He's in over his head at the NHL level but the team plays at convincingly higher intensity when he's in the lineup. I dont mind that aspect of it in the short run because they can double shift Cuylle on that line late. Part of the JT stuff is almost certainly bringing in an actual difference making player with the ability to raise the compete.
I think if you’re 6’9” and losing board battles to like likes of Lane Hutson that’s a bad thing.
I don’t even think he’s that dumb, his head for the game is okay, especially for a player like him.
He just doesn’t have the skills to do what his head wants him to do. If he were getting 10 minutes a night his underlying numbers would look much worse.
He should be trying to work on things at the AHL level. He needs to bring more than being a hype man and getting pumped in fights. If we want his energy let him wave the flag behind the bench and throw t shirts into the crowd between periods and save him from CTE
This is the team that will most likely be fighting for that playoff spot. They are better than Pitt/NYI/CBj/Boston/Philly/Montreal

Rangers gave them bulletin board material when Brooksie put out the Tkachuk report.
The Athletic today all but dumped 5 buckets of cold water on the current state of JT-to-Rangers talk. Fil might be safe (for now).
