Vesey is a legitimately solid defensive forward, and with Rempe we’re playing with 11 forwards most of the time

The players want him out there. He's in over his head at the NHL level but the team plays at convincingly higher intensity when he's in the lineup. I dont mind that aspect of it in the short run because they can double shift Cuylle on that line late. Part of the JT stuff is almost certainly bringing in an actual difference making player with the ability to raise the compete.

I’d rather get a monster Dman. That way we can play 7 Dmen and use Jones on the PP.
