Hey look kings fans... Hockey!
May not be beautiful yet, but good to see them participating.

Agree again. He used to be so much better than that. He must have taken tutoring lessons from ol' Hazy himself.

Fox did the right thing there. The play happened and he got it right. That's what competent commentators do.

Damn, Toffoli just missed hitting kopi at the end. Little too much mustard on the hotdog with that pass.

2-2 is much better considering how bad they've looked at times.

He called him out when it happened. It was a little much showing the clip of Hanzal stay on a feet then emphatically call it a dive.

Yes. He seems to forget that Brown has been accused of the very same thing for years. He's opening up the door for that imbecile Tyson Nash to run about three hours of Brown highlights.

He sounds bush league, like something right out Boston. Worse even then Hayward. SMH

So commentators, especially former players are above calling out a player when he embellishes a call? He deserved to be called out. He went down like an Oiler forward, not a guy who's 6-2, 240.

Is he suppose to act like it didnt happen?

Yes.

Or mention it casually with a little tact. Total homer move for an announcer to act so appalled and astonished about a dive. Especially when he's been calling the games for Dustin Brown's entire career. Fox is just SO upset that he just has to "call out" a player.

Yuck. I got the Massengil chills when he said that.

EDIT: Ron and others beat me to the point.

But we all know Brown sucks on his skates and basically trips over a snowpile from time to time.

I think it just comes down to when it happened. He was just saying that something small would be called that was questionable. And where I have no problem with the call since the stick was level with the ice. Call the dive that was also there.
