It really shouldn't matter, but it's getting annoying that the Leafs can't find a way to cut ties with a washed up plug. You can't really expect the players to develop a killer instinct when the organization is so soft

I don't know that seems like quite the stretch to me. Simmonds is a mostly useless 4th line grinder. We aren't getting run over this period because of his presence on the bench. That is ridiculous.
