Crappy loss. Fix the pp, pk and both 6 on 5 and 5 on 6. Barf.
Somehow I don’t trust Sacco with that job. There was a tiny bounce with the coaching change, but there’s nothing there now. Pasta gets going and it can look decent on the board some games, but it’s not sustainable. Sometimes it looks like the five guys on the ice are playing five different systems. This will not end well.

So- if I told you that Lindholm and McAvoy were out on D, Marchand and Carlo would have bad games and Coyle would play at a pee wee level would you have taken a point

Now to reality- they blew the game because too many players can't
A- make the play when it counts
B- can't start on time
C- lack passion, intensity and hockey IQ
D- all of the above

But for Sway this game was over in the first period

And re Coyle- once he got punked by a no-name d on the Senators I ran out of patience, a missed empty net, a crossbar in ot and too many bad plays to count tells me he needs to be a part of the "retooling "....and Carlo needs to be right behind

Great job by our franchise goaltender today, I hope he chokes on that extra 250K the way he chokes in big spots (excluding Toronto, of course because they by law cannot be "outchoked").

Nice job trying to score by shooting it into 4-5 guys.

Only saw the last half of the third on. I know Ottawa has some talent, but damn, the Bruins were wilting epically in their own end during all of the time I was watching. Were they collapsing that much toward the goal all game long or did that just take hold in the third from fatigue? That was pure survival every time the puck was in their end of the ice.
When we came back down 2 i thought that they would never look back but the Bruins all game pretty much wilted in on Swayman. Had a 2 goal lead but pissed it away. Carlo, Coyle, and Zadorov were disappointing to say the least.

This is what a Don Sweeney built team looks like. Not a surprise that the only two forwards who aren't embarassing themselves every other night were acquired by his predecessor 10 years ago.

They’d get the best return for Pastrnak over anyone else on this shit roster.
Yeah I’d trade him for picks given we are minimum 5 years away from competing but the problem is with Sweeney in charge he’d just waste the picks anyway Ala 2015. The first thing they need to do is fire Sweeney. Then they need to bring in a GM that can build from scratch and just burn it down to the ground. Trade anyone we can, buy out recent signings. Rebuild for 2030.

Those two would bring back low picks, Coyle needs to be waived to see if some sucker claims him and his last year of his salary.

Probably the shakiest team in the league when the opposing team pulls their goaltender. If you don’t have the skill and confidence to put it dead center in the back of the net, then don’t go for the goal. Always taking bad icings and holding on for dear life. Coyle sucked with the puck today. Needs to be sharper. Never want to see Parker Wotherspoon in on a 3 on 3 again. That flat footed stretch pass that he attempted with 10 seconds left was scary and almost ended the game before the shoout. Swayman also going for a goalie goal like the Pens tender last night didn’t help, but the loss wasn’t his fault.

well....the whole season so far summed up in one game..at least it was exciting....it's weird that your player of the game let in 5 goals and played stellar ....says something
